How to change the position of the delivery date picker on your Shopify store

Want to move the delivery date picker to a different part of your store — like switching from the cart page to the product page? This guide shows you how to change the position using the Flare app.

📘 Overview


Flare only allows one active delivery date picker at a time. If you've added the picker to your cart page and now want it on the product page (or vice versa), you’ll first need to remove the current one.


This guide walks you through switching the location in a few simple steps.



🛠 Step-by-step instructions


  1. Install the Flare app from the Shopify App Store
  2. Open the Flare app and make sure you’ve already completed Step 1 of setup (added a delivery date picker to one location)



🔄 Open the Customize Storefront flow


  1. On the Flare homepage, locate the top Setup card
  2. Click Customize, then click Edit position
  3. This opens the Customize Storefront page, showing all possible picker placements (e.g. Product Page, Cart Page, Slide Cart)



❌ Remove the currently active picker


  1. Your current picker location will show as Active (e.g. Cart Page)
  2. Find the new desired position for your date picker (e.g. Product Page) and click "Customise"
  3. Click "Add App Block" in the top card. If you try to add a new picker (e.g. Product Page), Flare will display a message saying an existing picker must be removed first
  4. Follow the steps in this popup - Click Open Editor on the active picker card (e.g. Cart Page)
  5. This opens the Shopify Theme Editor to the correct page
  6. In the left-hand panel, find the existing Flare block (e.g. Cart Date Picker)
  7. Click the 🗑 trash icon to remove the block
  8. Click Save to confirm the change
  9. The picker will now disappear from the page



➕ Add the picker to a new location


  1. Return to the Flare app window
  2. Click Done - Add Product Page Block (or your desired location)
  3. This reopens the Shopify Theme Editor for the new page
  4. The Flare Delivery Date Picker block will be added automatically
  5. Confirm it's visible in the preview and click Save



✅ Complete setup


  1. Return to Flare
  2. When asked “Did it work as expected?”, click Yes → then Continue
  3. To confirm it on your live store, go to Online Store → View your store
  4. Navigate to the new page (e.g. a product page) and verify the picker is in place


✅ That’s it! You’ve successfully changed the position of the delivery date picker.

No — Flare supports only one active delivery date picker at a time.


Can I move the picker to a custom location within the page?

Yes! In Shopify’s Theme Editor, you can drag and drop the block to reposition it.


What if I don’t see the picker after saving?

Double-check that the old picker was removed, and the new one was added correctly. Refresh your storefront and clear cache if needed.
