How to set order limits for delivery dates
Learn how to set daily order limits for delivery dates using the Flare delivery date picker. This is perfect for Shopify merchants who want to prevent too many orders from being scheduled on the same day — ideal for managing delivery capacity or production limits.
🧠 What you’ll learn
- How to set a maximum number of orders per delivery day
- How Flare automatically disables fully-booked delivery dates in the calendar
📘 Overview
Flare lets you easily set daily order limits — so once a day hits its max, it gets blocked in the delivery date picker.
This is especially useful for:
- Florists & gifting brands managing Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, etc.
- Meal prep and food merchants with daily production limits
- Furniture & bulky item delivery with limited slots
🛠 Step-by-step instructions
- Install the Flare app from the Shopify App Store
- Complete the initial setup flow inside the Flare app
- From the Flare dashboard, go to Shipping Settings
- Find the Order Limits section at the top of the page
- Enter your preferred daily order limit (e.g.
10
) - Click Save in the top bar to apply your settings
- You’re done! Any date that reaches this limit will automatically be disabled in the calendar
✅ That’s it — you’ve now limited how many customers can choose the same delivery date.
