I can't see the delivery date picker in my slide cart (cart drawer)

Troubleshoot why the Flare delivery date picker isn’t showing in your slide cart / cart drawer. Follow these quick checks to get the calendar displaying just above the Checkout button.

📘 Overview

If the calendar isn’t visible in your slide cart after running Flare’s setup flow, it usually boils down to:


  1. The Slide cart Date Picker app embed is off.
  2. The Cart Page Date Picker block was added to the cart page by mistake.
  3. Products in the cart are set as digital instead of physical.
  4. A highly customized or vintage (Shopify 1.0) theme needs manual placement.


Run through the checkpoints below—each fix takes seconds in the Shopify Theme Editor.




🛠 Troubleshooting checklist


1 | Confirm Flare setup completed

  • Open Flare and ensure the Add to Theme step shows completed.



2 | Turn on the Slide-cart Date Picker app embed

  1. Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
  2. Click App embeds (top left).
  3. Toggle Slide Cart Date PickerOn.
  4. Click Save.



3 | Test the slide cart drawer

  • Click the cart icon on your storefront preview.
  • The date picker should appear just above the Checkout button.
  • Still missing? Continue to step 4.



4 | Check you haven't accidentally added the date picker to your cart page

  • In the Theme Editor, switch the page to Cart.
  • Delete any Cart Page Date Picker blocks (they’re only for full cart pages).
  • Save.



5 | Verify products are set as physical

  1. In Products, open each item currently in your cart.
  2. For every variant, scroll to Shipping and tick This is a physical product.
  3. Save the product, refresh the cart, and test again.



6 | Save & retest

  • After any change, click Save in the Theme Editor.
  • Reload the slide cart in a new browser tab (or incognito) to confirm the calendar appears.



7 | Using a vintage (Shopify 1.0) or heavily customized theme?

I use both a cart drawer and a full cart page—can I show the picker in both?

No - we'd recommend using either a cart drawer or a cart page flow. Flare does not support adding delivery date blocks in multiple locations.
